2022-07-05T20:36:11+00:00

Submitted by SK Hikmat Michel Dandan Jesus The King Council 15045 As you know, Beirut suffered a massive explosion on August 4, resulting in devastating destruction to the city and its port. The Rosary Sisters Hospital was severely affected due to its immediate proximity to the Beirut port (less than 500 meters). The hospital suffered extensive structural and equipment damage and became no longer operational in all its medical and administrative units. Unfortunately, they lost a fellow nurse aid while several patients and members of the staff were injured. The Rosary Sisters Hospital is a 200-bed hospital in the Gemmayze neighborhood [...]

Submitted by Ed DizazzoSaint Daniel'sIn late summer our Council fired up our BBQ grills and, adhering to all safety precautions, served up a no contact, takeaway BBQ chicken meal to an appreciative (and hungry community). Thanks to the many masked Brothers who helped out, we enjoyed a sold-out success. This allowed us to replenish our dwindling coffers, and in keeping with the Leave No Neighbour Behind philosophy, we were able to donate two boxes of Coats for Kids to the North Dundas Christmas Fund. In addition, one more box went to a local women's shelter and another to a local elementary [...]
