Submitted by Kevin QuinnGranottier Assembly Granottier Assembly 3432 wrapped-up a Thanksgiving Food Drive in conjunction with Catholic schools in Owen Sound by gathering and transporting 320 Kg of food for the St. Mary's Catholic Charities emergency food bank. This is part of the Knights' "Food for Families Program".

Confirmation Candidate Luncheon

WattsonOn Sunday October 21st, the Cooking Team of Council 8919 sponsored a luncheon for this years Confirmation Candidates of Our Lady of the Atonement Parish, representing two local Catholic Schools - L.A. Outreach to area congregations was made. More than 40 Pro-fife supporters - Knights, Catholics and people from Protestant Congregations - including two family groups - appeared for the vigil.

Food For Families (Harvest Food Collection)


Submitted by Jose Luis RodriguezBlessed Frederic OzanamThe Knights of Columbus collaborated with St. Vincent de Paul to collect food for families. 1,800 pounds of produce was collected over the weekend of September 26-27. Bags of produce were delivered directly to 12 families in the local community and St. Francis Table took a truck load to cook and serve fresh to the homeless people in downtown Toronto.The Knights provided the boxes and manpower to collect and move the donated food. Submitted by Jose Luis RodriguezBlessed Frédéric OzanamBlessed Frédéric Ozanam is the founder the Society of Vincent de Paul and his feast day is on September 9. The Blessed Frédéric Ozanam Parish community celebrated his feast day on the weekend of September 7-8. The Knights assisted in handing out the bulletin and Blessed Frédéric Ozanam bookmarks as well as slices of cake for the enjoyment of the parish community. The Knights also provided an honor guard at the 12pm Sunday Mass to mark the special occasion.

Recruitment at Carleton Univeristy


Submitted by Roger RichardCarletonA recruitment drive was done at Carleton University to establish a Carleton University Campus Council. Brothers Jacob, Matt, David, Darrell and Roger were present. We manage to sign up 34 Prospects. This is the first step towards establishing an University Council in Ontario.
