Submitted by Paul O'Neill St. Bahnam Council 17627 St. Bahnam Council 17627 hosted a lunch for parishioners of St. Bahnam Church, Cambridge on Sunday, November 6/22 after the 12:00 p.m. mass.  Parishioners of St. Gregory Church were also invited to attend and enjoy Eastern food. This was the first luncheon put on by the Council. The Council Chaplain Father Khalid drew the winning ticket on the draw.

St Joseph Icon Pilgrimage

Submitted by Paul O'NeillGaltGalt Council 2184, Cambridge was part of the St. Joseph Icon's pilgrimage through District 7. Financial Secretary Bert Sousa, Treasurer Selwyn Langois and Deacon Terry Osmar greeted parishioners during the event. The Icon visited three Churches on its way around the Councils in District 7 in January.

Food Drive

Meyer Council 4916 The most recent Brother to join our Council, Brother Matt Foran accompanied by his father Brother Gary Foran organized a very successful Food Drive in his neighbourhood. A total of 1500 pounds of food and $5000 was collected and donated to the local Food Bank. Brother Matt is the third generation of his family to belong to Council 4916.

Coats for Kids

Submitted by Paul O'NeillMsgr. Paul J. Meyer Msgr. Paul J. Meyer Council 4916 purchased 12 boxes of Coats for Kids again this year. The Coats were distributed to St. Vincent De Paul Society, Langs Community Centre and Waterloo Region Food 4 Kids. Grand Knight Dan Schmalz delivered the Coats to Food 4 Kids office.

Presentation of Defibrillators

Submitted by Paul O'Neill- Msgr. Paul J. Meyer Council 4916. When the long time organist at St. Clement Church, Cambridge passed away as a result of sudden heart failure at Mass it was felt that the Council should do something to help prevent a future occurrence. Msgr Paul J. Meyer Council 4916 decided to purchase HeartStart Defibrillators for all three of the Councils Churches. District Deputy Paul O'Neill and Grand Knight Dan Schmalz presented the devices in memory of Rick Donahue.

Coats for Kids

Submitted by Paul O'Neill Msgr. Paul J. Meyer Msgr Paul J Meyer Council 4916, Cambridge distributed Coats for Kids to a number of community organizations on December 8/20. Coats were distributed to Langs Community Outreach, Food 4 Kids, several Schools and St Vincent de Paul Society. Council 4916 distributed 12 cases of coats in total and GK Schmalz was well received.
