MeyerCongratulations to Brother Deacon Jangho Hong who was ordained Deacon on Friday June 19/26 at St Mary of the Visitation Church, Cambridge.This is a blessed moment for our Council, as Brother Jangho becomes the first active member of Council 4916 to be ordained Deacon. Our Chaplain Father David hosted the celebration and a number of Brothers were in attendance at the Ordination. We are proud of our Brother Deacon Jangho.

State Treasurer Joseph Bodnar recently presented a $1,000 cheque to Marian Brady of the St. Vincent de Paul Society – St. Joseph the Worker Conference in Oshawa. This past week, at two separate Exemplification ceremonies, District Deputy 36 - Ken Cavanagh (representing 6 Oshawa councils) welcomed 13 new members into the Order. District 100 Hockey Challenge in April

Submitted by Greg Lougheed, District Deputy District 100 A total of 143 girls and boys, ages 9–13, competed in the Knights of Columbus Hockey Challenge held in April. Students from St. Stephen’s, St. Mary’s, and St. Michael’s Catholic Elementary Schools in Cayuga, Hagersville, and Dunnville took part in the event. Each participant took 15 shots on a net featuring openings with different point values. The score sheets of the champions from each division will now be compared with those of champions from five other schools across Ontario to determine the Provincial Champion. The evening start off with the council's general meeting and proceed into the hall for an evening fellowship, lunch lunch and recognition to Claude.
