Poulin, State DeputySt. Christopher's Council 12372Our State Deputy was the guest of Honour at the 25th anniversary Banquet Dinner for St. Christopher's Council 12372 in Mississauga held on December 14. More than 90 members, their ladies, families and friends attended the Banquet event. The dinner included cake, and a powerpoint presentation reviewing the council's achievements and impact on their community for the past 25 years and counting.

Our State deputy paid a visit, wished them a Merry Christmas and offered to help them with their delivery of Christmas food baskets. These members are one of the more active councils in the Greater Ottawa area. Sixteen candidates became brother Knights at St. Aidan's Church in Scarborough that night. Well done to Wilfred Gomez and his Exemplification team.

Submitted by Bruce S. Poulin, State DeputyCouncil 485Council 485 held its annual blessing of the Crèche in front of St. Patrick's Basilica in Ottawa on December 11th. A tradition dating back over 10 years, Council Chaplain Fr. Michael Nwadinobi led council members, wives, and parishioners in a procession around the church while members of the parish choir sang traditional advent and Christmas hymns. After the event, everyone got to enjoy a delicious potluck dinner and Christmas cookies celebrating the end of a great year, while looking forward to the council's 125th anniversary in January.
