Apr. 21/18 at McKinnon Park Sec. School, Caledonia. The Hagersville/ Walpole Council won. Submitted by Paul O'Neill, Grand KnightFather Ed Hinsperger and Brother George Harris of Council 4916 made a presentation to the members on their experiences in January volunteering at a school in Jamaica. They helped building a fence on the playground and other various repairs at the school. The Council had made a donation to Father prior to their trip.
Submitted by Dan Orawski, District DeputyDistrict 21 hold 5 Euchre Fun Nights with games every 2 weeks and held at each of the 5 Councils in District 21. Scores are tabulated on individual play and also Council teams with the results after the 5th and final game announced. This year St. John de Brebeuf and Companions Council 38233 won back the trophy. Submitted by David Orosz, Grand KnightDuring the 5 weeks prior to and including Good Friday, the hardworking Brother Knight of the Cooking Team of Council 8919 hosted a weekly Lenten Fish Fry between 4:30 and 6:30 serving 1195 meals over the 6 weeks. We also used this as a recruitment tool, inviting non-members to join us in the preparation and dispensing of the meals and recognized three new potential candidates. In addition, we also hosted the Special Olympics Flag which we proudly displayed in the hall, inviting all our patrons to sign.
