Submitted by Grand Knight Hikmat Dandan Jesus The King Church Annual Summer Festival is done each year in the beginning of August. The festival is visited by more than 4000 person each year. The Knights from Jesus The King Council 15045 organize and volunteer for the event. The festival raises more than $20,000 each year for Jesus The King Melkite Catholic Church. In the photo, Bro. Submitted by Grand Knight Hikmat Dandan The council offered a free T Shirt especially designed for the event by Grand Knight Hikmat, to encourage Knights and parishioners to volunteer and help in the festival. The T Shirt was a big success and 50 volunteers mainly Knights and their ladies cooked, and served Shawarma, Falafel, Zaatar and other Middle Eastern gourmet foods.

Submitted by SK Jason Kwok (FDD, PGK, PFN) The Archdiocese of Toronto has delegated pastoral service of Chinese Martyrs Catholic Church, Markham, Ontario to the Congregation of St. John the Baptist. This year, the Congregation is celebrating the 90th anniversary of their formation. On August 25, 2018, there was thanks-giving Mass and exhibition of historical photo album of their founder, Fr. Vincent Lebbe. Knights of Columbus provided honour guard service at both the Mass and blessing of the photos by Bishop Martin Su of the Diocese of Taizhong, Taiwan.

This year, the Congregation of St. John the Baptist is celebrating the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Congregation. On August 25, 2018, the celebration started with a thanks-giving Mass, celebrated by Bishop Martin Su of the Diocese of Taichung, Taiwan. The Knights of Columbus provided honour guard service in the celebration of this important milesone of the Congregation.

Submitted by Michael Nunan The Knights of Columbus (St. Edith Stein) collected over 600 pounds of non-perishable food items during a food drive they held on behalf of the Rockland Help Cente, on July 15th. In addition, council 13049 made a $500 to assist the Centre in purchasing necessary grocery items during the summer months, when inventory levels are low. Her we can recognize Tony Surette and Harold Rideout presenting the cash donation to Tom Gaul, a representative volunteer at the Rockland Help Centre.

McGivney week, St. Theresa the Little Flower Council 16005 celebrated their Installations of the Officers with their New Worthy District Deputy Roger Richard of District 101.the Installations took place after of the 10:30am Mass, August 19, 2018. Parishioners were invited to stay for the Installations and Reception.
