Knights Hockey Game Against the Flying Fathers

Poulin, State DeputyFor the first time in our 125-year history, the State Council played a fundraising hockey game against the Flying Fathers for the benefit of the Special Olympics in Ottawa on April 27. Almost 400 people showed up for the game. Highlights included Father Patrick Blake who is an alumni of the Flying Fathers (1966-2006) who helped with the ceremonial puck drop; "Shooter" the Ottawa Hockey Stars' Mascot; an honour guard from the Knights of Columbus Fourth degree; several Special Olympic athletes; and the OPS and Correctional services.
