A group of Knights from the Blessed Frederic Ozanam Council 17065 visited the Wideman Mennonite Church on Markham Road to present the Council's donation in support of the Blue Door/ Mosaic Interfaith Out of the Cold program at this location. The program provides seasonal emergency housing for youths, adults and seniors experiencing homelessness in York Region. District 1/101 Joint Exemplification

A total of 10 new brothers were exemplified from councils 9557, 9742, 16005, 13781,17476 and 17725. This exemplification demonstrated well our second principle of unity, where Districts work together to bring about Blessed Fr. McGivney's mission and vision for the order.

We are glad to welcome 14 new Brother Knights from 4 councils under District 63: Council# 17065 (Blessed Frederic Ozanam), 7689 (St. Patrick), 5957 (Georges P. Vanier) and 10874 (St. Mark). Coats donated to Good Shepherd Bakhita House

Submitted by Marcel Lemmen, Past State Deputy Ontario State Council On January 28, the Ontario Knights of Columbus contributed a box of coats to the winter clothing drive held by the Catholic Women's League Council at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Winona. The winter coats were donated presented to Abby White of Good Shepherd Bakhita House which provides support to refugees and newcomers. Good Shepherd Bakhita House offers short-term housing to women, with the focus of helping them secure permanent housing. The program provides communal style housing, with meals and support services.
