Thanks to the dedicated support of Fr. Samir, council members were able to serve a delicious meal to more than 200 parishioners and their families. The event provided an excellent opportunity for fellowship within the parish community. During the brunch, the council also recruited six new members, growing their council in service to their parish community. District 77 3rd Annual Men’s Lenten Retreat

Submitted by Chris Naus, District Deputy District 77 I want to thank my 5 Grand Knights for actively promoting this year's Men's Lenten Retreat.  Particular thanks goes to Joe Wigglesworth, the Grand Knight of Good Shephard parish, and his council for hosting.  And, a special thanks to Father Anthony, the parish priest for being so welcoming. In 2024, we had 47 men attend our inaugural Men's Lenten Retreat.  Last year, we had 60 men attend.  This year, we had 80 men attend.  We have also experienced a substantial rise in the number of men who went to Confession during the retreat [...]

Council 1926 donation to Grandview Children Centre

Submitted by Ken Cavanagh, District Deputy, District # 36 St. Gertrude’s Council #1926 Grand Knight Ian Francke of St. Gertrude’s Council #1926 and District Deputy Ken Cavanagh of District #36 are shown presenting a $1000.00 cheque to Lisa from the Grandview Children's Centre. The Council donation comes from funds raised through working at Delta Bingo in Pickering. Grandview Children's Centre provides physical and learning therapy for children in Durham Region. Thanks to St. Gertrude’s Council for their charitable work.

Lenten Prayer Retreat and Blessed Michael McGivney relic

Submitted by John Rzeszut St. Hedwigs Council #16229 On March 11, St. Hedwig's Parish welcomed the relic of Blessed Michael McGivney, accompanied by a healing Mass celebrated by Rev. Marcin Dzilinski, who also serves as the Council Chaplain. During his homily, Father Dzilinski honored Blessed McGivney, shared his history, and presented two videos highlighting the Knights of Columbus and the first miracle attributed to Blessed McGivney. Worthy District Deputy Ken Cavanagh delivered the relic to the parish, where he was greeted by Grand Knight John Rzeszut. Submitted by Nicholas QuadriniSt. Jude's College CouncilOn March 1st, members of St. Jude's College Council 17476 held their first membership drive of 2026 at St. Joseph's Parish in Ottawa. This was the first drive they've held at St. Joe's, and the first on the University of Ottawa campus. The council recruited five new prospects and engaged dozens of other students in the important work being done by the Knights of Columbus. The council looks forward to forming an exemplification team to welcome their new prospects in the coming weeks.

District #35 Basketball Free Throw Tournament

Submitted by Mike Sabo, District Deputy #35 Ontario State Council District 35 held their Basketball Free Throw Tournament on February 7. Around twenty members from Council #1504 (Kitchener), #5135 (New Hamburg), #9276 (Kitchener) , and #18671 (Waterloo) were present to assist with setup and support throughout the event. A total of 54 students from eight schools competed in this exciting and engaging tournament. It was a successful event, and we couldn’t have done it without our dedicated brothers. Well done!
