Jesus the King Council 15045 supports A Blessed Father’s Day Celebration
The community at Saint John the Beloved Melkite Catholic Parish recently gathered for a wonderful Father’s Day appreciation event in Mississauga which was formally blessed by Rev. Fadi Rizk. It was a beautiful opportunity to unite in Christ and enjoy true koinonia together (meaning fellowship & participation).
The celebration featured a joyful, cheerful atmosphere for parishioners young and old, complete with a bouncy castle and a special popsicle freezer that kept the children smiling.
This successful day was made possible through a collaborative effort: the BBQ was generously sponsored by our Jesus the King Knights of Columbus Council, with dedicated volunteers from the church Social Committee, the Knights, and the Church Council. A special thank you goes out to the Church Treasurer, Sami Haddad, who served as the barbeque chef.
The immense behind-the-scenes effort that made this large gathering possible was a true family offering: while Anastasia Bahsous handled the extensive grocery and supply shopping to prepare for the BBQ, Subdeacon Jony managed the physical logistics, hauling a trailer loaded with two BBQs, a freezer, and a bouncy castle for the children. Though it was a demanding day of physical labor, it was an honor to offer this service for the growth of the Melkite Catholic community and the glory of God.
The Melkite Catholic Church has 6 parishes in Ontario and St. John the Beloved is one of them. To know more about Melkite Catholics Click on:
