As part of their Faith In Action programming, the Knights of Our Lady Of the Rosary Council 16507 affiliated with Our Lady of the Rosary parish in Toronto, Ontario, Canada had a live Santa praying the rosary in front of their Church’s outdoor Nativity scene before and after all Sunday Masses during the season of Advent. A different brother dressed up as Santa each weekend. One parishioner asked, “How many batteries does that Santa take?” The Council intends to add one new praying character each year – next year, perhaps a brother dressed as an elf praying along with Santa. It certainly captured attention around the meaning of Keeping Christ Christmas!
