//Jesus The King Council 15045
Submitted by Grand Knight SK Hikmat Dandan

Jesus The King Council created a website to inform the North American Population about the history of Christianity in Iraq and the suffering and persecution of its Christians. The website and project were launched in Jesus The King Melkite Catholic Church and in the Chaldean Cathedral to collect donations by distributing a SOLIDARITY BUTTON to provide water, food, medicine and shelter to the Mosul and Nineveh Christians, one of the oldest Christian communities in the world, and had been entirely ousted from their traditional home land and many killed in ghastly ways. The campaign resulted in raising more than US$ 6000 which were utilized to supply the Mosul refugees in Irbil, Kurdistan staying in portable cabins where the summer temperatures were soaring, with 46 air coolers and 60 fans, as per the request of Rev. Amar Simaan in charge of the Mosul Syriac Catholic Archdiocese, for refugee families with elderly, chronic and cancer patients.
