The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus
is told in nine short Bible readings or lessons from Genesis, the prophetic books and
the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir
anthems.

St. Barnabas Parish participated in the Festival of the Nine Lessons and Carols on
Sunday December 17th, 2023 at 4.00pm. It was an event filled with high spirits and
joyous moments. It was truly inspiring to see the young youths of our parish in carol
singing, as well as parishioners and council members participate in this event.

We were privileged to have our Worthy Chaplain Fr. Fraser McLaren officiate the
event, and two of our brother knights Bro Joey D’Cruz & Bro Sheen Pardinas
participate in the scripture readings.

The occasion was a true testimony of ‘Keeping Christ in Christmas’ alive and
vibrant.
