Ontario Knights of Columbus Vocations Fundraising

Pentecost Sunday May 23rd & Trinity Sunday May 30th

The Ontario State Deputy invites all Ontario councils and Brother Knights to participate in the first Knights of Columbus fundraising event for vocations starting May 23rd, Pentecost Sunday. This feast day which commemorates the descent of The Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other disciples, marks the birth of the Catholic Church and the beginning of its mission to the world. Our Lord Jesus Christ said to them “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation”. The Apostles were the first priests and we as Knights of Columbus members are called to support not only our priests in their sacred ministry but also vocations to religious life and the priesthood.

All councils, assemblies and members are kindly encouraged to donate any amount to the Knights of Columbus Ontario Charities Foundation (mention VOCATIONS in the memo / subject line). All donations will be distributed among 3 seminaries to support seminarians: St. Augustine’s Seminary (1913), St. Philip’s Seminary of the Archdiocese of Toronto (1986), and St. Anne’s Patriarchal Seminary in the Middle East, which has formed priests since 1886. Tax receipts will be issued.
