The success of church drives are often dependent on the support of the local priest. Nowhere is the influence of the local parish priest more evident than with Father Eugene O’Reilly Council 4973 at Saint Mary’s Church in Brampton (ON). Following every mass on Saturday and Sunday this past weekend, the parishioners were invited to stay for some light refreshments at which point, Reverend Liborio Amaral went to every table and asked every eligible Catholic man to join the Knights of Columbus. The results were record breaking and his support of the Knights of Columbus was inspiring.
Following every mass, hundreds of parishioners enjoyed some light refreshments to socialize and enjoy each other’s company and learn about the Knights of Columbus.
