On December 5, 2017, a basketball free throw competition was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Wm. Fitzgerald Council 6091. This competition was held at St. Mary’s Catholic School, Hagersville. On Friday, December 22, 2017,at an Awards Assembly, Greg Lougheed, Grand Knight, presented certificates to the students with the most points in the various levels of the competition. Greg was assisted by Mark Magee, K. of C. recorder. Absent from the photo is Hunter Gallagher. The Knights Of Columbus would like to express their thanks to Mr. M. Pinn, St. Mary’s principal; Mr. T. Leyzer, Mrs. J. Davidson, SERT; Mrs. C. Woods, school secretary and Miss Victoria Maggee, volunteer helper. Without their assistance, the competition would not have been the success it was. The winning students will advance to the next level and compete against winners from schools in Caledonia and Hamilton.
