20,000 LBS APPLES FOR FAMILIES BY ST. PATRICK’S COUNCIL 7689 This ” Pick your own apples ” season, has proven to be most mutually beneficial. The farmer called Bro. Terry O’Connor and in turn Bro. Terry called the Council for help to pick the apples, 7 times this season. The hot summer of 2016 proved to be perfect for apple growing and now that the apple picking season is over and the tallies are all in, Bro. Terry reported the largest apple picking ever for the Council with a grand total of 20,000 lbs of apples picked and delivered to the Food Bank.
