On Saturday, May 14, 2016 twenty-two members of Resurrection of Our Lord Council 13701 based in the Alta Vista area of the City of Ottawa operated a Shred-it “Identity Theft Prevention” program. Where members of the Ottawa community could bring their sensitive personal papers, and for a small fee, watch as a “Shred-it Company” technician shredded the material as they watched. In a five hour period the council raised nearly $ 2,000 to support their charitable and community Service work.
