Submitted by Philippe Trottier, FS Luke Hart Council 5558 On July 16, 2022, District Deputy -Ontario District 66, Bruce Doucette, and Grand Knight of Luke Hart Council 5558, Wayne Mousseau, presented the cheque for three thousand dollars to Father Jesse to help defray the costs of the new roof for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ottawa, Ontario. To date, the parish has raised 21,000.00 dollars.
Submitted by David Gelinas Ontario State Knights of Columbus On behalf of the Knights of Columbus of Ontario, State Treasurer David Gelinas presented a cheque from our Winter raffle proceeds to Terri Gorick, mother of Taylor Gorick and her husband Steve, who founded Project Hope Windsor/Essex County. The Project Hope directors are all volunteers that open the community food pantry 7-days a week for one hour each day. 7-8 pm on weekdays and 1-2 pm on weekends. It's a drive-up service. Submitted by Marcel Lemmen, State Deputy KofC Ontario State Council Knights of Columbus Councils and Donors in Ontario raised money to send a container of 290 wheelchairs to help the disabled in Panama. Wheelchairs were delivered to a Senior's Home, Rehabilitation Centre, Cancer Clinic and Children's Hospital as well as to individuals who needed them. Here are a few pictures from a very busy trip.
Submitted by State Office- On July 9, 2021, Past State Deputy, David Peters, was honoured for the opportunity to present to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Josefina Cruz the Family of the Year Award. He did so, on behalf of the Ontario State Council of the Knights of Columbus.
