Submitted by Jaime Libaque St Lawrence Martyr The St Lawrence Martyr Council 13417 in Scarborough collected 1,010 lbs of non-perishable food items and donated it to the Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) Food Bank. A thank you letter was received. The last time the Council collected Food for Families was in 2018, just before COVID. This year 2023, some adjustments were necessary; only two bins were placed at the entrance of the church; Brother Knights and families arranged for 8 deliveries during the four-week period of collection.

With 120 (counted) participants, including several families with children, Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) acknowledged that this was one of the largest turnouts in Toronto. Funds were also collected, as a donation for CLC. As it is traditional, a large group of participants gathered in front of the church for a group picture.

St Lawrence Martyr # 13417

2018-09-06T17:34:33+00:00

Submitted by Jaime Libaque, Grand Knight The Installation of Officers is always a solemn occasion for the St Lawrence Martyr Council. For the 2018-19 period the event took place on July 28th, 2018. Officers wear their colourful robes and so does the DD and DW. The Ladies are integral part of it and the Sir Knights in regalia enhance the ceremony. The formation of the cross is a highlight. Afterwards, for the social part, the lasagna lunch was well received, thanks to the courtesy of one of the Brother Knights.
