Submitted by Roger Richard, FSThe Knights of Columbus, St. Theresa the Little Flower Council 16005 hosted a Sunday social for the Parishioners and Friends of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus parish. Since the Parishioners supported all the Activities that the Knights of Columbus did during the year, the Knights gave back by offering a Christmas Social on Sunday, December 3, 2017. This event happens once a year, what a way to give back.

Submitted by Luigi Carinci, Grand KnightEvery year, on the first Saturday in December, the town of Schomberg gets all dressed up and invites everyone to come and enjoy a fun-filled family event along historic Main Street filled with entertainment and parades. Attendees enjoyed some delicious food and warm hot chocolate by the St Patrick Knights of Columbus, along with the Catholic Women's League.

St Lawrence Martyr Council 13417

Submitted by Jaime Libaque, Grand KnightContinuing its tradition, the St Lawrence Martyr Council organized the LifeChain. As in the previous three years we had a good attendance of Brother Knights, their families and parishioners. Even a priest from a neighbour parish joined us. This year the count was 134. A group picture was taken and refreshments offered at the end of the event. Approximately $ 400 were raised for Campaign Life Coalition.

Submitted by Jaime Libaque, Grand KnightContinuing with its tradition the St Lawrence Council organized a pilgrimage to the Martyrs' Shrine in Midland. A full bus of parishioners attended and an extra car had to be arranged. The program included Stations of the Cross. The Council was one of the five chosen to recite a decade of the Living Rosary, with ten parishioners saying a Hail Mary each in different languages.

Submitted by Jaime Libaque, Grand KnightThe St Lawrence Knights of Columbus Council organized a Thanksgiving Food Drive, in partnership with the Parish Women’s Group. The food collection of non-perishable items started early in September. The donations have doubled this year reaching an all-time record of 1,465lbs. The food items collected were donated to Food Banks / distribution centers including the Agincourt Community Services and Good Shepherd Ministries. in time for Thanksgiving. Thank you letters were received from both recipients and a letter of recognition received from the local MP. A formal presentation was made with coverage from the local media.

Chinese Martyrs Council 15463

Submitted by Jason Kwok (PGK, FDD, PFN)Every year, Chinese Martyrs Council #15463 and All Saints of China Assembly #3484, organize a Remembrance Day Service with 333rd Markham Scout Group to pay tribute to the Canadian soldiers who sacrificed their precious lives to maintain peace of the world and to instill into heart of Canadian citizens, youths and adults alike, the importance of maintaining peace. The ceremony included flag raising, laying of wreaths, reciting of poems and singing.

Submitted by Ted Rocheleau, P.G.K.The Kingsville Knights 8233, had a personal tour of the Canadian Transportation Museum in Essex. The tour was a Council activity were members and their families were invited. At the end of the Tour, a Donation was made to help cover the rising Hydro Expenses that the Museum has experienced over the last few years. Presenting the cheque to the President Harry Bergmen of the Museum is GK Marshall H and Chairman Danny D Grand Knight Marshall Heaton, Chaired by Danny Dumont.
