Submitted by Jim Cummings Fr. Granottier On April 16th Council 2092 had a special "Donation Day" at the Owen Sound Columbus Centre . Cheques were presented to The Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce ( $15,000), The Owen Sound and Area-Special Olympics ($6,000), Families for Autism Grey-Bruce ($4.000) and The Grey-Bruce Pregnancy Centre ($4,000) which represented monies raised from the popular K of C 2092 / 560 CFOS Radio Bingo, Also donations were presented on behalf of our 26 retail sales outlets who generously donated back their commission dollars in the amount of close to $8,000 to the above charities .. Submitted by Ray Francoeur, Grand Knight St. Helen of the Cross Knights of St. Helen of the Cross Council 15999 set a goal of raising 5,000 pounds of non-perishable food to be donated to the local food banks in the Niagara Region. We began this back in September with a kick-off at St. Mark Meet & Greet Barbecue and then they all collected for the 12 Days of Christmas and of course the Lenten season. District 103 Good Friday Outdoor Station of the Cross

Yet those miserable weather conditions did not deter Council 9235 and the almost 200 participants from its 26th annual outdoor Stations of the Cross on Good Friday morning. Brother Anthony thoughtfully chose themes and locations for each station that impacts the lives of ordinary citizens within the community. This was all part of putting their Faith in Action, under the Life pillar of the Knights service program. As a result of this project, the Knights accumulated over 100 baby needed item and $6187 in Walmart gift cards, monetary and Council donations.
