Food for Families for Christmas

Submitted by Ken Cavanagh, District Deputy #36 St. Mary of the People Council #8611 and St. Gertrude Council #1926 Food for Families for Christmas On New Year's Eve St. Mary of the People Council and St. Gertrude’s Council in Oshawa hosted their third combine Dinner and Dance Charity at St. Mary's hall. State Secretary Joseph Bodnar and the Oshawa Columbian Squires prepared and served the dinner, and District Deputy Ken Cavanagh was the master of ceremony. The event was a success and raised funds for the Councils charitable projects.

We collected 1,421 pounds of food, toiletries and hygiene supplies. All items have been donated to the SSVP Brantford and will be distributed to those in need in our community.

Submitted by Bruce SuttonOur Lady of CharityCouncils 1447, 7332 and 8602 in Thunder Bay came together this year to purchase 10 boxes of Coats for Kids and take advantage of Supreme's buy one, get one promotion. Through this purchase and promotion, Council 8602 was able to donate eight boxes of coats to Precious Bundles, a local organization that recycles quality used children's clothing. London East Diocesan Coats for Kids

Submitted by Kevin Belanger, London Diocesan Director London East Diocesan Brother Knights of Ecumenical 70 Council #6246 gathered to sort 184 boxes of coats, totaling 2,208 coats for children in need. 1,104 coats were generously donated by the council in the London area, with an additional 1,104 coats matched by Supreme. These coats will be distributed through the Councils in the London East Diocesan Association, benefiting children, youth, and veterans across the London community. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved for your unwavering dedication and generosity in making this effort a success!
