Submitted by Brother Hikmat Dandan Jesus the King Jesus the king Council 15045 launched a campaign to FIGHT HUNGER ON CHRISTMAS and donated $500 to each one of six food banks: Richmond Hill Food Bank, Knights Table, Daily Bread Food Bank, Covenant House, Scott Mission, & Society of St. Vincent de Paul. One of the Food Banks says that with their buying power, $100 will give a family of 4 access to food for over a week. $100 will also give an individual client access to meals for more than one month. Submitted by GK Yolando FernandesSt. Barnabas ParishMembers of the Knights of Columbus Council 13785 held a Special Mass to celebrate the Feast Day of the Consecration to the Holy Family at St. Barnabas Parish, Scarborough-ON, on Friday 29th December 2023 at 7.00 pm. The Special Mass was officiated by our Worthy Chaplain Fr. Fraser McLaren. Brother Knights along with their families participated in this Holy Mass, together with approximately 400+ parishioners, supported by the music ministry. Jerusalem Students is an, affordable and very worthwhile initiative for councils, knights or parishioners to support. The sponsors of Jerusalem Students offer an education scholarship for a needy Christian student in the Holy Land (with a recent option also to choose a needy student in Lebanon). Jerusalem Students is very affordable starting at $21 per month to share the scholarship of a student, $42 for full scholarship. [...]

At this breakfast, 100 parishioners supported the Knights. There were about 15 brother Knights volunteering. The proceeds go to the community needs.
