Submitted by Roger J. Richard, FSOn Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica of Ottawa, a mass for Homelands was celebrated by the Archbishop Terrence Prendergast. An Honour Guard led the possession for this event. The Honour consist of 24 Sir Knights from 5 Assemblies in Ottawa including the Worthy Master Norman Fontaine and his Worthy Marshall. Unity was the main principal for this Honour Guard. Patriotism play a part of this Honour Guard by honouring all the catholic nationality in the Ottawa area with this event. Submitted by Rick Stankiewicz D.D.#29On January 15th, following a Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic School, the winners of the 2015 -"Keep Christ In Christmas Poster Contest" were announced at an assembly of the school body in the School auditorium. Out of 75 students that participated in the contest this year, there were winners in all three categories. The winners were Leah Boulton (Age 5-7 years), Reid Cherwaty (Age 8-10 years) & Mair Veter-Gunter (Age 11-14 years). Submitted by Dan Pergolesi, Grand KnightOn December 30th, 2016, Council 8919 hosted the Icon of the Holy Family at Our Lady of the Atonement Parish. A special Feast of the Holy Family was celebrated by our pastor, Fr. Rob Rocheleau. Council 8919 K of C Choir sang, with the Colour Guard of RT. Rev. Wilfrid J. Langlois Assembly joining our celebration. Following the mass, Fr. Rob invited the more than 90 parishioners to come up and receive a special Family Blessing.

Beginning the evening with Mass,then on the normal meeting however nothing normal about this meeting. Collingwood Council 5795 had the Honor of a visit by Supreme Director Arthur Peters. Brother Arthur spoke on membership and the need for growth within the order both locally and internationally.
