In 1992 they changed their mandate to meet the evolving needs of the community, providing housing and support services for pregnant and parenting women and their children. Marillac Place resolves to give mothers the tools to become effective parents and self-supporting, responsible members of the community.

Fr. Foley commented Lady Sheila wife of Chairman DGK SK Winston D'Souza for organizing the event. Fr. Foley was presented with the Council Star Award with the presence of GK SK Alex Arokiam. The award was presented by the DD # 87- SK Wilfred Gomez.

A collection of local councils and agents from the Neil Bouvier Insurance Agency got together and purchased an astounding 840 coats, which were then distributed to schools and local organizations. “The Coats for Kids campaign is but the most recent example of how the fruits of your goodness will make a real difference in the lives of young people in our community.”, wrote Patrick J. Mark 9:37 The Jerusalem Students project sponsors now more than 65 needy Christian students in the Holy Land. C$ 28,250 were sent to the school in sponsored tuition fees in 2016, and so far more than C$ 75,000 since the start of the project. 70% of the sponsors are councils and knights. This gift will help offset the deficit of the school as the parents are not able to pay the tuition of their children. The efforts of St. Justin Martyr Church, its various ministries and its KOFC Council 11798 made this parade a great Christmas Event. Once Fr. Joe gave his blessing, the cooperation started between the enthusiastic Choir Group who flew their banner, the Craft Group who dressed up the trailer with the Nativity Scene, the Kids in their Christmas concert costumes with Fr. The party was well attended and the families were treated to a Turkey and Ham dinner, music, a sing along and games. All in attendance thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to come together for this sacred season.
