Jaime Libaque and many other knights which contributed to the success of the event to help the persecuted Christians of the Middle East.
Submitted by SK Hikmat Dandan, Past Grand KnightWorthy Immediate State Deputy Sir Knight Kevin Daudlin introduced the order and spoke about its Middle East Christian Refugee Relief Fund that donated more than $3 million and later expanded its efforts with a national campaign to raise awareness about their suffering. He also mentioned the work of Jesus The King Council under Jerusalem Students project which now sponsors more than 65 needy Christian Students in the Holy Land. Jesuit Father Henry Boulad who heads Caritas Egypt and has done amazing work spoke about Baptism by Fire. The speakers were His Eminence Cardinal Collins, Worthy Immediate Past State Deputy Sir Knight Kevin Daudlin and National Director of CNEWA Canada Mr Carl Hetu.

The installations took place Monday, September 12, 2016, 7:00pm at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish. The Officers were accompanied by their wives. Through a generous K of C donation from Council 1504 they were able to give out almost 200 free booklets and 200 CDs with information about the Catholic Faith. A prayer intentions box was very popular with prayer intentions offered up at Mass at St. Mary’s prayed for by the St. Mary’s Prayer Network. He addressed the attendees of the Slice of the Pie event with warmth, personality, and authenticity.
