Submitted by Todd Fortin Grand KnightOn February 12th 2017 Holy Cross Council 5333 held it's 19th Annual "North Grenville Community Sweetheart Brunch, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus". A small army of volunteers worked tirelessly organizing and executing the plan to serve 800+ guests on a snowy Sunday morning. Live entertainment and great food were provided. From humble beginnings in the parish hall of Holy Cross church 19 years ago this event has grown to be the largest single day event hosted at the North Grenville Municipal Complex and this year raised $ 20,000.00 which goes directly back into the community [...]

Granottier Council 2092 held a very successful “Solidarity” Chili Supper in support of the Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort (OSHaRE) to kick off their 2017 “40 Cans For Lent” campaign . The spark plugs behind “40 Cans for Lent” are Past Grand Knight James Hachey and Financial Secretary, Jim Cummings. The idea of a simple, straightforward one-can-per-day donation is inspired by Christ’s 40 days of fasting in the desert. The campaign is asking, Parishioners, Knights, Families and Friends to donate one can of a non-perishable food item or $ 1 [...]
