Submitted by Peter PederivaCouncil 3909 members completed another season late last fall of maintaining the grounds of the St Stanislaus Cemetery. Over 400 volunteer man hours were needed to plant flowers, trees, weed and water the grounds. Lucky....as we all know for the rest of Advent and Christmas time the average temperature was -30C. Thanks to Peter, Robert, Richard and Oscar. Happy New Year to all and come on spring time!!

DD # 87 SK Wilfred Gomez presented the award to Prince of Peace Council # 9144. The highest award a council can receive in Ontario.

This competition was held at St. Mary’s Catholic School, Hagersville. On Friday, December 22, 2017,at an Awards Assembly, Greg Lougheed, Grand Knight, presented certificates to the students with the most points in the various levels of the competition. On Friday December 15, 2017, Knights of Columbus Council 8380 Father C. Mascari. Grand Knight Ralph Puzzo along with member Sheldon Dixon, presented 3 boxes of coats to the Principal Nick Frankovich at Queen Mary public school. Submitted by Dave Orosz, Grand KnightOn Tuesday December 5th, Council 8919 hosted our annual Light-up for Christmas event. The evening began at 7:00 PM with Mass, celebrated by our Spiritual Leader Fr. Rob Rocheleau, followed by the lighting of our outdoor Nativity and Keep Christ in Christmas sign. The children, parishioners and members were then treated to Hot Chocolate and Cookies provided by our Council. Special thanks to Brothers Vern Gannon, Mike MacLellan, Mike Agius and PGK Greg MacDonald for setting up the Nativity, sign and lights.
Submitted by Dave Orosz, Grand KnightOn December 2nd, Council 8919 hosted our Annual Lenten Turkey Dinner in the Family Center of Our Lady of the Atonement Parish. This evening is dedicated to the parishioners, council members and our families. One Hundred and forty guests were treated to a fantastic dinner which included turkey with all the trimmings, mashed potatoes, green beans, topped off with pumpkin pie; all prepared by the Council Cooking Team.

The parents and students from the Parish schools attended the Mass followed by the lighting of the Tree in front of the Church. The pastor of St. Gregory Father Katzenberger officiated at the ceremony.
