Submitted by Richard Santilli St. Philip Neri On the first Saturday of every month the Knights of Columbus Council #14662 (Toronto, Ontario) help out at our parish Food Bank by volunteering our time and bring donations; Rice, Salt and Sugar.
Submitted by Ray Francoeur, Grand Knight St. Helen the Cross Congratulations to Mr. Peter Twardawa and Brother George Savage, together they raised over $900.00. They walked 4.5 miles. Brother George walked in memory of his son George Jr. who passed away from cancer on Sept. 22, 2014 at the young age 39. He was a Police Officer with Niagara Regional Police Service. Peter walked on behalf of the Rankin Cancer Family Organization. The Rankin Cancer Walk & Run had set a goal of raising $12 million dollars. To date they have received over $11.8 million. Submitted by Ray Francoeur, Grand Knight St. Helen the Cross Six brothers attended our first of two annual Mountain Street clean up as agreed with the Region of Niagara Municipality. Many property owners were very appreciative of our service to the community and offered us cold bottled water as the weather was very warm and sunny. In attendance were Al Rizzuto (DGK), Emilio Murillo, Tom Shepherd, Brian Brace, Mario Durand and Ray Francoeur (GK) taking the photographs. We will be planning another clean up in October, after Thanksgiving to fulfill our obligation for 2024.
Submitted by Ray Ray Francoeur, Grand Knight St. Helen the Cross Our Council was requested to barbecue a fundraiser for Gillian Place which was coordinated by Mrs. Amalia Ryzinski and her team. She is a parishioner at St. Helen Church and has been organizing this event for three years running. This event was well received, as attendance and the weather was perfect. We were told that they raised $3,400 for Gillian Place. Congratulations to S.K. Hughie O'Grady and Lady Rose (St. Joseph the Worker Council 9989 Oshawa) for celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday July 27, 2024. State Treasurer, Joe Bodnar presented them with a congratulatory letter and certificate on behalf of our State Deputy, Bruce Poulin.
Submitted by Fred Policarpio Sts. Peter & Paul Council On July 9-23, 2024, Sts. Peter & Paul Parish sent 218 missionaries to work 1 or 2 weeks to help the needy in the Dominican Republic, Sosua area. We are proud to say our Council Sts. Peter & Paul #11337 sent twenty Knights to do various tasks! Thank you, Fr. Mario (standing far left in the photo), for bringing us closer to Jesus! Vivat Jesus!

Submitted by Ray Francoeur, Grand Knight St. Helen the Cross Congratulations to everyone who participated in completing five barbecues at our Catholic schools. Even with the staggering humidity we experienced in June and with the assistance of our fantastic women of St. Helen CWL, we had a tremendous and successful month. Photo opportunities were many, it was decided to publish only a few. We were at St. John, St. Mark - twice, St. Alexander and St. Anne Catholic Schools.
