At 96, Bernie, is the last surviving WW11 veteran in the Niagara region and the last surviving charter member of Our Lady of the Lake Grimsby Council 4917. At the age of 20, Bernie’s regiment, the Stormont Dundas Glengarry Highlanders, stormed the beaches during the northern France offensive against Germany. Submitted by SK Wilfred GomezSt.Aidan CouncilSt. Aidan Council # 11332, teamed up and cooked the best spaghetti meat sauce in Town for parishioners of St. Aidan Church. This was a fundraiser held on Nov. 7 & 8 after all Masses. The Chef SK Mike Wo Kai Sang and his wife Lady Jackie tirelessly cooked the best spaghetti sauce. The fundraiser was organized at the request of our Parish Priest Fr. Steven Szakaczki to support ShareLife, SVDP and KofC charities. "Many hands make for less work"! All of them wore face masks to assure that our pandemic medical guidelines were followed. Great camaraderie was had by all!

On October 24, 2020 the Knights of Columbus Council 11098 donated $2,420.00 to St. Vincent de Paul for the Food for Families. Submitted by Todd FortinHoly CrossOn Saturday October 17, 2020 Holy Cross Council 5333 Kemptville, held a Coats for Kids distribution event. Due to COVID restrictions and with the encouragement of our Pastor, the event was held in the glass walled Narthex of Holy Cross Church. Clients could drive up under the covered portico to view the coats from inside their car and then decide which coat they wanted from a safe distance. 9 Star Council Award

In October 2, 2020 St Alphonsa Council Mississauga 16624 was awarded in recognition as the highest for Star Council in our Order this past year. They achieved and reached a Nine Star level while recruiting 49 new members which represents a 980% increase in membership over last year. In the picture our Worthy State Deputy David Peters and Worthy District Deputy 53 Jacinto Fernandes presented the plaque to Brother Jimmy Vargheses, Grand Knight of Council 16624.

The Cross had been there for a very long time and needed to be replaced. This project was paid for by the knights of Council 7281 Fauquier.
