FIRST KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CHALDEAN COUNCIL FORMED On the feast of St. Joseph, 19th March 2018, St. Joseph Chaldean Knights of Columbus Council was born which is the first Chaldean council in Ontario. The formation of the council was encouraged by Most Reverend Chaldean Bishop Bawai Soro, the Chaldean Eparch of Canada who is already a member of the order. 37 new members including two priests, Father Dea Shammas and Father Hani Joro joined the order. The video exemplification was performed by Worthy State Deputy SK Dan Heffernan assisted by IPSD, MPC SK Alain Cayer, State Secretary SK David Peters, District Deputy SK Joseph Bahoshy, Fraternal Advisor SK Anthony Lobo and PGK SK Hikmat Dandan. Bishop Soro said ” I feel that most of our Iraqi Chaldean parishioners are already Knights deep in their hearts before taking the Admission Degree as they are devoted to serving their church and community”.
