The Knights of Columbus of South Western Ontario have held a long standing and strong partnership with the Hospice of Windsor / Essex County, for over 20 years.
On June 29, 2017, the Knights of Columbus Councils and Assemblies of Windsor, Tecumseh, Essex County, Tilbury, Chatham and Kent County, joined to present Executive Director Carol Derbyshire and Director Fr. Matthew Durham, csb, and staff of the Hospice of Windsor, a much needed and anticipated Golf Cart.
Councils: 1453 / 2356 / 2775 / 2844 / 3305 / 4375 / 4555 / 4924 / 5642 / 8682 / 8783 /
8919 / 9645 / 11774 / 12494 / 13335 / 14969, and Assembly 2097; raised over $ 5400.00 to purchase a Golf Cart, with excess funds available for maintenance and batteries if and when required.
This cart will be used to aid patients and residence from their residence across the campus to receive their treatments, and return them afterwards.
This is a shining example of multiple councils coming together for a common goal, in Unity, Fraternity and Charity to assist those in need in our Community.
