On Tuesday December 20, 2022, I had the privilege of visiting the Movember office in downtown Toronto to present our Ontario State cheque for $2,500
Tyler of Movember Development Staff is shown receiving the cheque from me. Tyler, for his own Movember fund-raising, posts music videos under the name of his band, Mo Your Own Way (Fleetwood Mac take note). He’d dyed his ‘stache orange to celebrate the end of his own campaign and meeting his fund-raising target.
Although contributions may still be received through to the end of December, it’s safe I think to say that our 2022 campaign is substantially complete. This year the team raised $4,030 (80.6% of our audacious Team target of $5,000 – nicely done) which, with the $2,500 contribution from State brings our Ontario Knights 2022 total to $6,530. In 2021 the State Team raised $2,400 ($400 over target) and the State contribution was $2,600 bringing our Ontario Knights Movember total to $5,000. So the Team’s total increased by 67.9% and the overall Ontario Knights total increased by 30.6%. These are impressive increases all around. For as Tyler and his colleague, Chloe, who took the pictures explained, teams that raise $5,000 or more are in the top 5-6% of all teams.
The Team are very grateful to State Board and individual donors for their generous support as well to State Office for the Movember publicity (e.g. State website banner) which so nicely integrated with Movember’s website.
