Acton Knights of Columbus,
My name is Joe Crane. In addition to being a proud member of the Georgetown Knights of Columbus, I also serve as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Cancer Assistance of Halton Hills.
Today I had the good fortune to be in the Cancer Assistance office when Roberto Luisetto, of your Acton’s St. Joseph's Council #8050, presented a generous donation on your behalf to our Executive Director, Julie Liddle (photo attached). Thank you for your support and generosity—it is truly appreciated.
For anyone unfamiliar with Cancer Assistance of Halton Hills (formerly known as CASHH), we are a locally funded, not-for-profit organization providing free support to cancer patients in Halton Hills ( Georgetown, Acton, Limehouse, and Glen Williams). Our services include transportation to medical appointments, loaned equipment such as hospital beds, walkers, canes, and wheelchairs, as well as palliative and home care support, based on assessed need.
This year marks our 25th anniversary. Cancer Assistance was founded after the Canadian Cancer Society withdrew from Georgetown, and since then, we've relied entirely on local donations and community partnerships. We currently support about 200 active clients, with a monthly budget requirement of approximately $40,000.

Thank you once again for all that you do for your parish and the wider community.
