The Melkite Catholic Patriarchate School, Shepherds' Field would like to thank all the Jerusalem Students scholarship sponsors for their generous donations that have helped our Christian students greatly over the years. Thanks to the anonymous sponsor who donates annually C$10,000 ($5000 for school deficit $5000 for student scholarships) Thanks to our GOLD SPONSOR, Toronto Council 1388 who donates $5000 each year for student scholarships. Your donations have allowed our Christian students to keep getting the best education possible in a Christian school in the Holy Land. It has also helped in reducing the financial burden on their families by covering part of their tuition fees. It also helped to reduce the budget deficit of the school. All the graduates are pursuing higher education in the universities of the area.
Many sponsors whose student graduated already, have chosen other students to offer them a scholarship and make a lasting impression in their future. www.jerusalemstudents.org is not only about education scholarships for needy Christian students but it is also about strengthening the Christian presence in the Holy Land as these students, go to University, graduate and form successful Christian families that will grow to populate the Holy Land. It is a very affordable initiative as sponsoring a scholarship starts at $21 per month to share a student or $42 for full scholarship.
