2024 Scarborough Coats for Kids
On Nov 15, 2024 a very successful event took pace at the McGregor Community centre in Scarborough. It was the annual distribution of Coats for Kids.
A total of 1,248 winter jackets will be distributed to children from Scarborough this year. This is a significant increase from the 200 coats distributed the previous year.
This success was made possible by the financial contribution of #Meridian Credit Union and the network and logistical support of #ACSA (Agincourt Community Services). ACSA selects the recipients among the newcomers (families) and reaches out to children from 13 schools via the After School program.
The St Lawrence Council is the organizer and host of the event.
