Under the theme of “FOREGIVENESS, seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:21-35) the convention was organized by the Melkite Catholic Eparchy of Canada and Our Lady of Assumption Melkite Catholic Church in Hamilton at the Sheraton Hotel. The purpose of the Canadian Melkite Youth Convention is to gather the Melkite youth from all over Canada around Christ, to form true Christian leaders and missionary apostles filled with zeal and courage to spread the word of God. The aim is also to create rich bonds of friendship, cooperation and partnership between young people from different parishes (more than 370 youth), leaders and priests. The organizing team arranged a very special program which touched on spiritual, social and cultural aspects, also Lectures, prayers, discussion circles, tourism and dancing parties were all part of the program.
The Canada Melkite Catholic Bishop Milad El Jawich addressed the Canadian Melkite Youth with Jesus’s message “I MUST BE IN MY FATHER’S HOUSE ” and requested them to love their church and he announced that this will also be the pastoral theme for the 2025 convention and all parishes in Canada.
