St. Helen of the Cross Council 15999

On October 11th, Council 15999 presented Rockway Vineyards Wine Dine & Golf with a Plaque of Appreciation for their supportive participation and partnership with our “K of C Coats for Kids program”. Their contribution towards our ongoing “Bottle Drive” made a significant difference in reaching our new goal of purchasing 6 boxes of winter coats for the ever-growing list of needy children in our community. Thank you Rockway and staff for your tremendous generosity and Humanity to assist our community. A further presentation was also made, to a staff member of Rockway, whom I consider a friend and a brother, and though he is not a Knight, his heart and kindness are of the same spirit as a Knight. Doug Massey ( no picture), would collect and sort all the garbage on the golf course on the days he worked and separated the beer cans and bottles for our Coats for Kids Bottle Drive. This is not part of his duties but took it upon himself, to support what we as Knights do to assist those in greatest need.
