Our Lady of Lebanon Shrine
Sunday 11th Sept, was the Blessing and Solemn Inauguration by Most Reverend Maronite Bishop Paul-Marwan TABET, of Our Lady of Lebanon Shrine in Our Lady of Lebanon Church at 1515 Queen Street West. Two assemblies, Saint Michael the Archangel 3783 and St. John Paul II Assembly 3325 joined to provide the mass with a Knights of Columbus Honor Guard. The Honor Guard was headed by District Marshall Sir Knight Robert Bentley, with the support of St. John Paul II Assembly Faithful Navigator, Sir Knight Rand Comishen and Sir Knight Eardley Adams, Director – Archdiocesan Association of Toronto, Sir Knight Felice Divita, Sir Knight Marwan Salem and Sir Knight Hikmat Dandan. The previous Statue of Our Lady had been vandalized and the community got together with generous donors and arranged for another marble statue from Italy. The Statue of Our Lady of Lebanon is a replica of Our Lady of Lebanon " Harissa" which means "The Protector" that overlooks the city of Beirut.
