The Ontario State Council offered its most heartfelt gratitude to Grand Knight Kelvin Law and Council 15176 members of St. Agnes Ky Tsao Parish in Markham who contributed $ 22,790 which represents 120 wheelchairs. The State Council also recognized and thanked Brother Hikmat Dandan, Christian Refugee Relief Director, who encouraged the council to utilize the funds raised to support the Ukraine wheelchair program. The State Award for 2021 read as follows: “Canadian Wheelchair Foundation and the Knights of Columbus Ontario State Council proudly honor St. Agnes Tsao Chinese Council 15176 Kelvin C. Law, Grand Knight for Highest Council Contribution 2020-2021 Your dedication and commitment to improve the lives of people with physical disabilities, has served to answer lifelong prayers of the less fortunate, in our Lord's name.”

Ukraine refugees must walk 43 miles on a 20-hour journey to reach Poland, soon to be joined by the many thousands who continue to flee the war. Imagine what the elderly and disabled must endure. Imagine the great joy and freedom each wheelchair will provide to the elderly and disabled refugees in Ukraine, in addition to our brother Knights and their families.
