//Brother Knights of Francis J Clarke Council 5350 stepped up to help others struggling under the pandemic restrictions
Submitted by Ted Gorski, Recorder,
Council 5350 – Francis J. Clarke.

For the Brother Knights of Francis J Clarke Council 5350, Harrow ON, the COVID 19 pandemic restrictions brought out a desire to help others struggling under the pandemic restrictions. In coordination with the Harrow Society of St Vincent de Paul, the Knights began preparing monthly take-out hot meals for families they support. The monthly take-out meals have since grown into a continuing program for the entire community. Proceeds from the community meals, and donations from our town’s mayor, and a local merchant, helped to raise $7,500 funds that were donated over the year to the local Health Care Centre, our two Community Schools, the Goodfellows and the Zeta Kappa Sorority. In addition, the Knights took time to do volunteer grounds keeping at St Anthony of Padua parish, helped the parish arrange for maximum socially distant seating for the weekend Masses, and provided safe distribution of Sunday offertory envelopes and missals during the pandemic.
