Jerusalem Students is a Knights of Columbus project that sponsors needy Christian students in the Holy Land. The Christians in the Holy Land are diminishing and they have become nearly less than 2% of the population. By sponsoring a needy student, we are giving him a chance to complete his education, go to university, and graduate. This generous gift of education will lay the foundation for successful Christian families that will grow to populate The Holy Land thus preserving the Christian presence where Jesus Christ walked and preached. The school where the students are sponsored has a beautiful story. It is located in Shepherds Fields minutes away from Bethlehem and the Archbishop tells the students that they are the great, great, grand children of the shepherds who greeted Baby Jesus. Jerusalem Students since 2011 has sponsored more than 70 students and 16 already graduated but there are more than 100 students that need help in one school only.
