The occasion allowed our State Deputy to highlight the long-standing relationship between our military and veteran community with the Knights and how our Sir Knights have put their cardinal virtue of Patriotism into action. Well done everyone! BTW we also recruited five new members. Bravo to our Membership Director [...]

Working With Your Pastor

2025-01-24T18:45:09+00:00

Working With Your Pastor Monday, Feb 10, 2025 8:00 PM EST. We discuss the relationship between the Pastor and the Council. One of the identities we hold as Knights of Columbus is the ‘Strong right arm of the Church.’ This speaks to the necessity of building strong relationships with our pastors, so that we can assist them in strengthening and growing parish communities. In this session we will examine why we need each other, how to work together towards common goals, and how to build strong communication. For more information and registration, click here.

2025-02-10T17:29:56+00:00

Submitted by Bruce S. Poulin, State DeputyCouncil #485January 25, marks the 125th anniversary of the Knights of Columbus in Ontario with the establishment of Pioneer Council #485. It is fitting that Grand Knight of Council #485, Peter Stuart, would present a duplicate of his Council's Charter to the State Deputy so that he may hang this charter on one of the walls at the State Office in Hamilton, thereby reminding everyone visiting the office where it all began. Thank you Peter for the donation.

Candle Mass Church Drive for Council #11525

2025-02-10T17:11:11+00:00

Submitted by Bruce S. Poulin, State DeputyCouncil 11525On the weekend of February 1-2, the parishioners at St Joseph's Highland Creek Church in Scarborough heard from our State Deputy. He was helped by a very enthusiastic recruiting team. There had not been an official church drive at this parish since the COVID-19 lockdowns and our presence was very much appreciated by the parishioners. So much so that eleven prospects were added to our list of candidates for consideration to join the Order.

Special Healing Prayers at Candle Mass

2025-02-10T14:46:49+00:00

Submitted by Bruce S. Poulin, State DeputyOn February 2, more than 150 people gathered in prayer at Our Lady Queen of Poland Church to pray for Lady Aggie.  At times like this, we are reminded that we are more than a fraternal organization. We are a Catholic fraternal service organization that firmly believes in the power of prayer. Wilfred and Aggie are leaving next week for a pilgrimage to Mexico and ask for an intercession from Our Lady of Guadalupe: Godspeed and safe travels.
