The dinner included cake and a live band and dancing. A good time was had by all and many said they looked forward to the next event at the parish hosted by the Knights. Well done brothers!

By way of comparison, the last fraternal year, the members of this Council had recruited five members and missed their Star Council award by one new member. The difference this year was that this Council's recruiting efforts were supported by the senior leadership in accordance with our State Deputy's Monthly Membership Growth Calendar action plan. The event featured a montage of photos, cake and a live band to entertain. as usual the members of Council 8951 put in an extraordinary effort and it showed. Congrats to the members and families of Council #8951 in Port Perry!

Submitted by Bruce S. Poulin, State DeputyOne of the remaining Diocesan Association held their meeting on April 5, in London West a few weeks before the annual State Convention. A new executive was elected. Some of the 30 members who had gathered for the meeting also called for a resumption of their Columbian Service Day. Finally, two candidates running for the position of State Warden also spoke to those present.

The meeting saw the election of a new Executive as well as the nomination of a delegate for the next Supreme Convention being held in Washington, D.C., this coming August.
