As part of our 125th anniversary of the Knights in Ontario and the 100th anniversary of the Columbian Squires, our State Deputy wanted to re-acquaint our respective organizations with this legacy of cooperation and fraternity. As an added benefit, 14 Squires who were 18 years of age agreed to mark the occasion by being exemplified during their convention in Ottawa. Knights Hockey Game Against the Flying Fathers

Poulin, State DeputyFor the first time in our 125-year history, the State Council played a fundraising hockey game against the Flying Fathers for the benefit of the Special Olympics in Ottawa on April 27. Almost 400 people showed up for the game. Highlights included Father Patrick Blake who is an alumni of the Flying Fathers (1966-2006) who helped with the ceremonial puck drop; "Shooter" the Ottawa Hockey Stars' Mascot; an honour guard from the Knights of Columbus Fourth degree; several Special Olympic athletes; and the OPS and Correctional services. Church Drive Council #12418 in Peterborough

Poulin, State DeputyAfter a Church Drive in the morning, followed by training and a Diocesan Meeting, our State Deputy ended Saturday March 8 with another Church Drive later that day. This time it was held at Immaculate Conception in Peterborough where Fr. Jozef Vano graciously allowed us to conduct a Church Drive.

Poulin, at Veterans' House Canada in Ottawa to present him with the official proclamation from the City of Ottawa declaring April 20 - 26, 2025 Knights of Columbus week in honour of them holding their first annual State Convention in Ottawa since 1974.

Council 9742 in Ottawa Spaghetti

Submitted by Bruce S. Poulin, State DeputyCouncil 9742Almost 100 people showed up for the annual Council 9742 in Ottawa spaghetti fundraising dinner in appreciation of their Chaplain Rev. Lindsay. The dinner included cake and a live band and dancing. A good time was had by all and many said they looked forward to the next event at the parish hosted by the Knights. Well done brothers!
