Submitted by GK Yolando FernandesSt. Barnabas ParishMembers of Council 13785 held a Spiritual Reflection-Advent Retreat, on Saturday 25th November 2023 after the 9.00 am mass in the Parish Hall, officiated by our Worthy Chaplain Fr. Fraser McLaren. After group discussions, the men were lead to the church for Adoration and Confession and later ended with another spiritual speech by Fr. Fraser. Bro Joey completed his on demand exemplification online on 2nd Nov'23. After the general meeting on Wed 15th Nov’23, WGK and council members, presented Bro Joey with his new member kit and 3rd degree exemplification certificate, (seen in the picture holding his certificate) along side Bro Sheen holding the council banner. Our heartfelt congratulations goes out to both Bro Joey and Bro Sheen.

Submitted by GK Yolando Fernandes St. Barnabas Parish Members of the Knights of Columbus St. Barnabas Council together with Bishop Charles P Greco Assembly 2113 participated and celebrated in the final Holy Hour Our Lady of Fatima Devotion on Friday 13th October 2023 at St. Barnabas Parish, Scarborough-ON. There were a total of 7 Honor Guards & the celebrant was Associate Pastor Fr. Fraser McLaren assisted by Deacon Paul Djaja. Food for Families – Good Shepherd Ministry

Submitted by GK Yolando FernandesSt. Barnabas ParishSt. Barnabas Parish, Scarborough, ON., held a Thanksgiving Donation Food Drive for Good Shepherd Ministry, downtown Toronto, on weekend of October 7th-9th 2023 after the weekend masses. GSM is a place that promotes human dignity, open 24/7 and serving hot meals to the homeless in our community. Brother Knights helped with the collection, sorting, packing, weighing and delivery to GSM. Thanks to the parishioners, we were able to collect 1,675 lbs of non-perishable food to help the poor in our community.

Submitted by SK-YolandoFernandesSt. Barnabas ParishBrother Knights of the St. Barnabas Council 13785 supported and participated in the annual Life Chain event at St. Barnabas Parish, Scarborough, ON on Sunday 1st October 2023 from 2-3pm at the corner of the 4 intersections of our parish. Our brothers distributed the placards to the parishioners and monitored them at the 4 intersections to ensure proper code of conduct. It was a peaceful event led by our Worthy Chaplain Fr. Roses for Life Donation Drive Fundraiser

Submitted by SK GK Yolando FernandesSt. Barnabas ParishMembers of St. Barnabas Council 13785 held the Roses for Life Donation Drive Fundraiser at St. Barnabas Parish after the weekend masses on Saturday 23rd September and Sunday 24th September 2023 in the church narthex, in support of Life Chain Coalition and Pregnancy Support Centres (Sisters of Life). Brother Knights sold cross pins, Our Lady of Guadulape pins and Roses for Life Stickers with Prayer for Life cards. Flag Relay in Support of Special Olympics Ontario

Fraser McLaren, by signing the Special Olympics Ontario flag after the Council Meeting in the parish hall on Wednesday 20th September 2023 The Flag Relay started on August 21st 2023 moving from one council to another of DD#63, and ends on 24th September 2023. The Knights of Columbus has a unique partnership with Special Olympics and has helped disabled athletes train for and compete in games around the world.

Thanks to all the parishioners and brother knights who generously donated towards this worthy cause. We collected approx. 70 winter coats.
