Invitation to Participate in “The Bible Journey” – 2026 Lenten Season
Dear Brother Knights,
Praised be Jesus Christ. During the sacred season of Lent 2026, the Ontario State Knights of Columbus is pleased to invite all councils to participate in “The Bible Journey” — a 33-day Bible Reading Marathon offered under the Faith Program.
This spiritual initiative is an invitation for us, as Knights and men of faith, to journey together through Sacred Scripture — from Genesis to Revelation — allowing the Word of God to guide, strengthen, and renew us as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter.
Program Overview
Start Date: Thursday, February 19, 2026 (the day after Ash Wednesday)
End Date: Saturday, March 28, 2026 (prior to Holy Week)
Duration: 33 reading days (Sundays in Lent excluded)
Daily Reading Time: Approximately 4 hours
Readers Per Day: 8 participants (30 minutes per reader)
Based on previous experience, completing the full Bible requires approximately 130 hours of reading. In addition to readers, we will require daily moderators and technical Zoom support to ensure smooth and prayerful sessions. When available, a Priest or Deacon may lead the opening and closing prayers or offer brief reflections.
We respectfully encourage each council to participate and to seek the support of your Pastor in promoting this opportunity within your parish. Parishioners who feel called to take part are most welcome to sign up. To register, please download the appropriate form for Co-ordinator or Reader.
Once completed, email the form to [email protected] or [email protected] and to State Faith Chairman Savio Pereira at [email protected]. For questions or assistance, please call 647-467-1738 or 905-712-4150.
For unity and consistency, it is recommended that all participants use the Revised Standard Version (RSV) of the Holy Bible.
Let us come together as a brotherhood of faith to listen attentively to God’s Word, reflect deeply, and be spiritually renewed. Your council’s participation will help make this Lenten journey a meaningful and unifying experience across our province.
Thank you for your continued support and fraternal spirit.
Vivat Jesus!
Fraternally yours,
Joseph Remedios FDD PGK PFN
