Submitted by Ray Francoeur St. Helen Cross Council 15999 Coats for Kids On Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, the St Helen of the Cross Council 15999 presented Community Care West Niagara (CCWN) with 48 New Winter Coats. The coats were donated through the Knights of Columbus (KofC) Coats for Kids Program. Money for the coats was collected through the KofC Bottle Drive Fundraiser. CCWN was able to order specific sizes and styles to suit the demographic of children in need of a coat. Wheelchair Distribution in Holy Family Center Qaraqosh Iraq

Submitted by Hikmat Dandan, Christian Refugee Relief Director Ontario State Ontario Knights Wheelchair project in Iraq A boy in Qaraqosh Iraq, receives a wheelchair donated by Ontario Knights. Three Ontario Councils, St Joseph Chaldean Council 16977 of North York, St Joseph Syriac Council 17309 of Mississauga, and St. Agnes Ky Tsao Council 15176 of Markham purchased 80 wheelchairs and 150 walking sticks for disabled Christian refugees returning to Mosul. The boxes of coats were distributed to Barrie, Cambridge, Hamilton, Ingersoll, London, Ottawa, and Peterborough. Submitted by Peter Jasica Holy Rosary Milton Jenny's Food Bank Our annual Advent Food Drive received a great boost the first week with our largest donation to date. Jenny, granddaughter of Brother Knight Marcel Zwolman took it upon herself to ask for non-perishable food donations for her 5th birthday instead of gifts for herself. Her friends and family were asked to celebrate her birthday with drive-by birthday wishes and to drop off donations into her own little food bank wagon which quickly overflowed. For Knights of Columbus, charity means supporting a virtually boundless variety of projects. This fraternal year we are hoping to triple the work we do in our community. Submitted by Christopher TurnerOur Lady of the LakeCouncil 4917 of St Joseph Parish entered a float in the Grimsby Christmas Parade which took place on December 4, 2021. Some 150 entries took part in this evening parade which began at 5:15 pm and proceeded through the main streets of Grimsby, Ontario. Our theme for the float was “Keep Christ in Christmas” and we included a Nativity Scene of Baby Jesus in the manger with Mary and Joseph watching prayerfully in wonder. Food Drive

Meyer Council 4916 The most recent Brother to join our Council, Brother Matt Foran accompanied by his father Brother Gary Foran organized a very successful Food Drive in his neighbourhood. A total of 1500 pounds of food and $5000 was collected and donated to the local Food Bank. Brother Matt is the third generation of his family to belong to Council 4916.
