Brother Elias, the Food For Families chairman said: “Wow Christmas miracles do happen”

From a barrel with empty space to one that is filled many times over in less than a week. Thanks to all those who brought food to fill the Richmond Hill Food Bank barrel, and a special thanks to Brother Elie Moussaed for generously donating $1000 to support the food bank program. The action that everyone took didn't just fill a barrel, it will lift the spirit and ease the burden for many needy hungry families. This is a demonstration of the true meaning of Christmas. It is not just a time for gathering, gifts and presents but also a time for sharing and giving. To all of you who donated to the food bank, we thank you and May God bless you all. Also, a special thanks to Brother Knight Ikbal for his assistance in this program.

Every year, Jesus the king Council 15045 launches a campaign to FIGHT HUNGER ON CHRISTMAS and this year also donated a total of $7000 ie $1000 to each one of six food serving charities: Richmond Hill Food Bank, Knights Table, Daily Bread Food Bank, Covenant House, Scott Mission, North York Harvest & Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
