As the holiday season approaches, the Knights of Columbus Council 5080 St. Francis is proud to support the Concord Adex Survivors Fund Angel Tree initiative. This year, we have had the privilege of assisting with the placement of the Angel Trees at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, ensuring they are beautifully displayed in both the International and Domestic lounges, as well as the publicly accessible mainland pavilion.
The Angel Trees, adorned with over 900 acrylic angels, each represent a survivor of human trafficking supported by the Concord Adex Survivors Fund since 2021. For a donation of $20, supporters can have an angel placed on the tree in their name, directly benefiting survivors by providing safe, affordable housing and post-secondary education grants.
Our involvement in this initiative aligns with our commitment to life and community programs. We believe in the power of community support and are dedicated to contributing to meaningful causes that make a difference in the lives of those in need.
The Angel Tree initiative began in 2020 with just 67 angels. Today, the trees are prominently located at Billy Bishop Airport and the Presentation Center, symbolizing hope and support for survivors.
